I joined the Collins Group during the fall of my sophomore year, where I began working with Arani Chanda. My work at the institute focuses on the degradation of nitrophenols and nitroanilines with TAML catalysts, in an effort to understand their behavior mechanistically. I initially became interested in Green Chemistry due to its direct applications to the environment, in the hope of removing harmful toxins from our waters. Outside of the lab, you can find me singing anything from a cappella to classical, going to movies and concerts, and simply enjoying college life. I plan to either attend medical school or graduate school upon completion of my undergraduate studies.
